TheForkUserJulia was really welcoming on our arrival and we were able to place our order for drinks. On Julia’s return we were able to order our meals- Simply Chicken with jacket Potatoes. Shortly after Julia came to our table to inform us that jacket potatoes were unavailable and told us of our other options, which we reordered. Our meals arrived short after and we enjoyed our food.. At the time of our visit the restaurant was quiet but did get busier later on, we liked the seating area that we were placed in.

TheForkUserMy husband and I were celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary. The staff member who was looking after us was lovely. She was very pleasant and made sure that we were satisfied with every stage of our meal. The price was very reasonable too. It's cheaper to visit during the week and not so busy. My only concern was the distance to the disabled toilet. But on the whole, a very enjoyable experience

TheForkUserMy granddaughters and I booked a table. We received a friendly greeting on arrival. Unfortunately the table we were given was near the main door and it was very chilly. We asked to be moved. The waitress very helpful and quickly found us another table which was fine. The food was lovely and the service was swift. Will definitely go back.

TheForkUserI have been coming to The Packe Arms for years. The service, food and atmosphere is always top notch. This time I had Beetroot Arancini on a bed of rainbow cousous, classic fish and chips (super fresh, chunky fish and crispy batter) and the mini pud and hot drink combo which is a great idea if you haven't got room for a full sized pudding. The new range of alcohol free drinks are also great. I had elderflower and mint.

TheForkUserBoth had the carvery, choosing turkey and lamb meats. Meat and vegetables excellent. Pity no roast potatoes available on that day due to unsatisfactory supply quality. Would recommend and would visit again

TheForkUserJordan was polite, patient and respectful - took his time to explain things about the menu (allergies issue within the group). Unfortunately the salad bar didn't live up to our usual expectations from past experiences. Different salad items dropped in specific food sections, seemed tasteless or watered down (olives, beetroot and coleslaw) pesto pasta was quite nice. The hot food was quite good - my fish freshly cooked, crispy batter but again lacked seasoning. Gammon and chicken cooked nicely. Altogether decent but some room for improvement.

TheForkUserThis is our go-to place for good food and great service, this time to celebrate my Husband's Birthday. A suitable table was sorted straight away for my inability to climb steps and all queries to ourselves were polite and friendly.Our next visit will be soon . Thank you.
